Shipping and Returns

I offer free shipping to the EU and EU countries and discounted shipping to the rest of the world.

I ship artwork worldwide (excluding locations blocked by law). The stated delivery price shown on the checkout page covers the full cost of packaging, courier fees and artwork insurance until the package has been signed for by the receiver.

PLEASE NOTE that the purchaser is responsible for paying any import charges/duties/taxes.

Stretched vs. Rolled shipping

  • Whilst I offer discounted shipping (e.g. I cover approximately 50% of the cost of shipping to the US), due to the high cost of shipping larger paintings, depending on your location, it may be more cost effective to ship the painting rolled in a tube and have it re-stretched locally at a framer/gallery near you.

  • It's not always possible to pack paintings in a tube but if this is something you'd like to discuss, please do contact me.

  • Rolled shipping for large paintings is free worldwide.

  • If a painting is shipped rolled, you will need to then take your painting to a local framers or gallery to re-stretch (at your cost) when it arrives.

  • Please be aware that all my measurements, except where explicitly stated are in metric. You will need to ensure that your framer/gallery is aware of this.

Minimum order value

  • Due to the VAT laws implemented with Brexit, any shipments to the United Kingdom must have a minimum total value of €175, including delivery fees. Any orders placed that are lower than this will be cancelled and refunded.

Returns

If you are not happy with your artwork for any reason, you have 14 days from its delivery date to arrange for it to be returned in its original condition and packaging.

A full refund of the original amount paid for the artwork will be issued upon receipt and inspection for damage. If the painting has been damaged but not reported upon its arrival, deductions will be made from the refunded amount to cover the cost of repair (if possible).

Damage in Transit

  • If your painting was damaged in transit, all damage must be reported within 24 hours of receiving the package.

  • DO NOT DISCARD THE PACKAGING.

  • You will need to take clear photos of:

    • The painting in it original packaging.

    • The damage to the artwork.

    • The damage to the packaging.

    • The shipping label on the box.

  • As soon as I have these photos I will initiate the transit insurance claim process.

  • Once the claim has been registered, I will be in touch to discuss the next steps and the options available. Of course, you will always have the possibility of a full refund, but we can also discuss if a replacement or repair may be appropriate.

Commissions

If you are ordering a commissioned piece, shipping will be discussed at the time of defining the commission.

The standard legal bits and pieces

  1. The product will be shipped as soon as possible (usually 2-3 working days) after payment has been confirmed. Occasional delays do happen, for example, if I need to purchase additional stretcher bars or transport strikes, but any anticipated delays will be communicated immediately.

  2. As described above, there is a 14 day cooling off period for any non-commissioned artwork purchased directly from my website.

  3. Any defects or significant discrepancies between the advertised product and the product received must be reported within  7 days of receiving the product.

  4. If a significant defect or discrepancy is reported within 7 days, I will make all efforts to repair or rectify the issue as necessary. If this is not possible, a full or partial refund will be offered, depending on the issue.

  5. If the paintings are damaged in transit, please let me know immediately to arrange collection (at my cost) and repair (if possible) or to arrange for a refund if repairs are not possible.

  6. For shipments to destinations outside the EU, the cost of any relevant import duty and taxes shall be borne by the buyer.

Please note that points 2 and 3 do not apply to commissioned works or digital products.
